Strangler Fig (Ficus Aurea)
They are easy to identify because the lower part of their trunks/roots. The bark is gray and smooth, and the "roots" seem to melt into one another and flow around rocks. The reason for the strange trunk is that strangler figs begin their lives on the branches of other trees.
The Strangler Fig starts its life as a tiny seed in the canopy. The roots grow down to the forest floor where they take root and begin to take nutrients from the soil. Gradually the roots wrap around the host tree, widen, and slowly form a lattice-work that surround the host's trunk. The fig's crown grows foliage which soon overshadows the tree. Eventually, the host tree dies leaving the fig with a hollow trunk-which is easily climbed thanks to the many openings in the trunk.

Red Cedar (Toona Australis)
This is a local tree and a vital food source for fruit eating birds and animals in the area. The Red Cedars can survive in different habitats but often grow taller when they are living in natural habitats for example: Gondwana Rainforest. The Red Cedars in Gondwana Rainforestgrow taller than the Red Cedars that you might find on your street. The Red Cedar comes from the Meliaceae family and grows throughout southern Asia, Afghanistan, Papua and also south-east New South Wales.

Nothofagaceae
This family is the Nothofagus. This plants distribution in isolated pockets at cooler high latitudes in otherwise warmer regions is considered to provide evidence of a wider distribution affected by climate change.
